The university's vice chancellor said they were "desperately saddened" while his family said he had been subjected to a "campaign of abuse" since accepting the Cambridge professorship more than three years ago. With concerns around intense media scrutiny and the duty of care given to Arday, is it time now for a fully independent inquiry into what happened at Cambridge as well as other universities where he worked or studied?

He’s invoking khaini-choona as if it’s some badge of pride for Bihar, and what’s worse, the crowd is actually cheering for it. Bihar, once one of the greatest sub-civilizations of India, renowned for its ancient universities, intellectual brilliance, and cultural depth deserves far better than what it has been reduced to today. Not that other parts of India are flawless, but Bihar in particular is crying out for a new wave of visionary leadership, backed by a strong social reformist movement, that can lift people above caste divisions, instill civic responsibility, and reignite the spirit of progress. The very fact that a party like RJD still remains relevant, and even a serious contender in Bihar’s elections, is anything but reassuring.

I attended “Fighting MAGA & the Far Right: From the Campus to the Streets” at Pilsen Community Books to observe and understand what is being organized under the banner of “defending ourselves.” What I witnessed was not a genuine discussion rooted in accountability or solutions for Americans. It was a coordinated echo chamber designed to manipulate emotion, suppress dissent, and normalize radical ideology. This is a cult structure. The language is intentionally vague, dissent is punished, and anyone who challenges the narrative is framed as immoral or dangerous. That is not activism — it is psychological conditioning. In certain parts of Alberta, this is a common sight. It's still surprising to me that these mining dump trucks are the size that they are! Experienced drivers will pull off to the side of the road when they see one of these being delivered to its destination. Why don't they drive it you ask, instead of hauling it via flatbed? In a word, cost. I did the math in the comments! How much cheaper do you think it is to haul the dump than it would be to drive it? Want to make a guess?

He has a list of achievements that would make Chuck Norris blush. He ran 600 miles in six days, without being chased by the police. He ran 30 marathons in 35 days, nine of them with a broken leg. He raised £5.5m for charity. He once threw a kettle over a pub. He was non-verbal until just before his 12th birthday but still managed to play football and snooker professionally. He couldn't read or write until he was eighteen but became Cambridge's youngest ever black professor. He completed a PhD while having a brain tumour removed and having a stroke. But now some people are casting doubt on these achievements. They say they have unearthed evidence of plagiarism; of 188 sentences in his PhD thesis that are identical or nearly identical to another person's thesis. As Professor Arday would say, the evidence for this is "poultry". As James O'Brien and everyone else on the left would say, these people are bigots. There's no way Cambridge's white female elites would unfairly elevate a man just because he's black and has dreadlocks and they want to look like good people.
