I definitely don't do this. Maybe that's why I don't have many friends.

This is extremely scary and explains a lot about what’s going on right now in our society

Perhaps the rise in neurodiversity, which tends to be related to non-conforming behavior, is an evolutionary advantage in a society controlled by groupthink.

To resist pressures to conform, it helps if you have allies - it's why all those masked selfies help. It also helps if you imagine that, although you might be in the minority RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW, there are lots of people in other countries who are wearing masks.

we see it in real life right now. it's why people won't mask.

That makes sense. Conformity is part of herd behavior. People feel safe around other people who perceive danger and safety through shared stories.

This is how easy it is to control people. They put up minimal resistance. What they think is cool, attractive in a partner, what to consume, who to like, who to hate, who to vote for, "good" music(WAP 🙄 ) and most other things are literally programmed. There is very little individuality in roughly 80% of people according to studies. Your own experiences confirm this if you are honest. Why is it popular now to be pierced up and tattooed up now, when it was 30+ years ago? 1930s to 1950s? 1960s to 1980s? No? Ask yourself why high heels look better. The answers are absurdly illogical. Provide them with the medical data showing they ruin bodies and they don't care. Social credit and fitting in with the group are all that matters.

i would not conform, what does that say about me?

So interesting, thanks for sharing.

An interesting read that breaks down these rules that control hierarchy movement “48 laws of power” You have to add human empathy imo but it’s a good read nonetheless They’re old as time.
