Thank you for this post….. Nigerian media is one of the problems in the country; this kind of discussion should be trending. However, the media have subjected themselves to ridicule, involving themselves more in politics & celebrity gossip rather than news that will better Nig.

Oshiomole is very intelligent and sound. This kind of discussion with indepth expositions is what should be the regulars in the Senate.

And the likes of Atiku will now come back to say they are the only ones that can bring change to Nigeria. Shame on him and all his supporters 😔 😕 😪

Atiku led privatisation and shadow purchase!! Structure of criminals!! Never again!!

Well said, I once contributed money to buy transformer in one village at Abuja is still paining me till today.

They will not call these ones out. What Tinubu administration is doing presently. Nigerians will thank you God they have in years to come

@beninelectric supplied low voltage electricity to our area. The meter is counting, but we can not use the electricity to pump water or for fans, yet we are paying. @NERCNG doesn't feel concerned as citizens deserve no response. Are we not being cheated by a private business?

This type of discussions will never trend .. but if it is thr foolish no sense information.. trust me engagement will be so much ...

We Dey spend our money to protect our transformer in wuse. The technical workers steal our cables and resell them back to us every 3 months interval… and we then proceed to pay again to have them installed…

One thing we fail to acknowledge in Nigeria that most of the things that work, hospitals, banks and companies that serve are all private sector driven. Public sector can never ever ever save the power sector or provide the power needed to serve Nigerians. A clear combination of public sector and private sector is what is needed, if the states and LGAs are buying transformers, then let government also earn from revenue not just VAT. Across the country build a database of all transformers, enable a tracking system with strict inventory, all states and LGAs can be part of that system, ensure that a transformer stolen in Kano cannot be resold anywhere else, all the power companies must be part of the framework and investments means more equity and share, from power generation to distribution, it is okay to have different companies doing it across states and LGAs but public sector and private sector governed by policies, openness and accountability will do it.
