In "The Frighteners" (1996), the part of drill sergeant in the graveyard was written as a spoof of Lee Ermey's character in "Full Metal Jacket" (1987). Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh wrote it with an intention of casting a New Zealander for the role. Since they didn't find anyone worthy for the part, they finally ended up casting Ermey for the role.

In Empire of the Sun, Christian Bale delivers a breakout performance as a young boy surviving WWII. This wasn’t his first role, but it was his first major film — the one that put him on the map. Bale even lost weight for the role, and his discipline impressed Steven Spielberg. A powerful performance that marked the beginning of an incredible career.

Parents, coaches, and players all have a role in minor sport. The game and arena is much more enjoyable when everyone follows the process.

McMurphy is described in the book as a tall, red-haired, tattooed bruiser, which is pretty much the opposite of Jack Nicholson. And yet Jack understood the character so well in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST that the casting somehow feels perfect.

Any idea who this guy is and which movie he’s auditioning for? Amazing, I must say. The amount of main character energy in this performance is incredible. Deserves the National Award for Best Actor even more than Shah Rukh Khan for Jawan.

the scene before the sirène fight is a perfect example that you don’t need dialogue for it to hit hard. and it hits even harder after finishing the game, the foreshadowing is crazy in hindsight.
