I can't find a sector of the economy that isn't using AI now. Every single sector, including all the small companies I invest in, is using an AI app and is spending more on AI applications than they did 18 months ago. It's a productivity tool and a margin enhancer. So this idea that it's a bubble in the sense that all these companies don't have earnings yet, it's a race to see who's gonna deliver the prize and I bet on all of them.

I can't find a sector of the economy that isn't using AI now. Every single sector, including all the small companies I invest in, is using an AI app and is spending more on AI applications than they did 18 months ago. It's a productivity tool and a margin enhancer. So this idea that it's a bubble in the sense that all these companies don't have earnings yet, it's a race to see who's gonna deliver the prize and I bet on all of them.

Chris Bryant today all but admitted why the government refuses to accept legislation that makes AI companies reveal their training data: They are going to offer creators transparency legislation *later*, in return for upending copyright law & letting AI companies train on people's life's work without permission. His justification for rejecting transparency legislation: "If we're going to get to that proper compromise solution [between creators and AI companies], it's going to require all the bits of the jigsaw to be put together into a comprehensive picture." That is: if creators want to know when AI companies are using their work, they're going to have to give up their rights. There is no other way of interpreting this comment I can think of. He is saying creators can't get transparency from AI companies without giving something up. And there is nothing to give up except their current rights under the law, which compel AI companies to ask their permission before using their work. Bryant & co. have given no other reason to reject transparency legislation. AI companies are breaking the law, and government refuses to hold them to account. IMO this is awful treatment of the creative sector by the government. Commercial generative AI training on copyrighted work without a license is illegal in the UK; creators cannot enforce their rights, because training happens behind closed doors; the government won't empower creators to enforce their rights without requiring them to give up other rights. Bookmark this. I hope I'm wrong, and that this is not the government's plan - but I see no other conclusion you can draw from Chris Bryant's words here.

It's very interesting what's happening because I was listening to the Disney earnings call, which is such a great index for consumers. Think about families going to theme parks, buying gasoline, buying stuff. This is a new CEO was asked right out of the gate, because every analyst is trying to figure out where the consumer stands, "Have you seen a slowdown in park traffic?" Remember, parks are more expensive than they've ever been and the cost of taking your family in the car should be more expensive than ever because it's gas four to five bucks now. He said there was zero change in traffic. In fact, it's up. So what is happening to this economy that people feel confident enough to see forward to the end of whatever this volatility is, particularly on gas prices? The truth is 50% of the S&P 500 companies have absorbed the tariffs themselves by using AI to increase their margins and productivity. So the full weight of tariffs hasn't ever affected the consumer yet because of this incredible productivity enhancement, this serendipitous tool that Trump never saw coming, called AI, in all 11 sectors.

I wanna solve this because I'm a guy that actually does business there and I'm telling you, they wipe out thousands, if not millions, of American companies that get to five million in sales. I'm just one voice, but I think that narrative's starting to pick up a little momentum here. There are millions of American companies wiped out by what China does. I don't know why anyone is okay with it. 62% of jobs in America are created companies five to five hundred employees. I am their advocate and we're pissed. We've finally got somebody in the White House saying, "What about this IP theft?" I'm just speaking on behalf of every small entrepreneur in America, and I think I have my army behind me.

Jensen Huang just explained why every company cutting engineers over AI is asking the entirely wrong question. Huang: “People say, I don’t need software engineers because apparently coding is going to be automated.” That was the narrative. Here is what Huang actually did. Huang: “I’ve given AIs to every one of my software engineers and hardware engineers and engineers period. 100% of NVIDIA has AI assistants, AI coders, and they’re busier than ever.” Not fewer engineers. Not smaller teams. Busier than ever. That is the line most companies are getting completely wrong right now. They hear “AI can write code” and immediately start cutting headcount. And change management is about all the people that already work there, the middle managers, the technocrats, the bureaucrats. The change management is a human thing. And it's very tricky with very complex processes, many of which are not even documented. And in theory, it's just all going to happen real fast. But in practice, that's hard. So that's part one. Part two, what I'm seeing with true tech companies, they are fired up about the development, the productivity, the deployment schedule, and the new features they're able to roll out much, much, much faster because they've pivoted their culture, sort of very pro-AI development. Now, there are folks selling their book that are like, ‘Oh, we're at AGI,’ and all this. Anybody who has worked with these agents and done the AI dev stuff, there's a lot of good stuff, but they're not that smart yet. They're just not that smart.”
