The avocado tutorial I needed 20 years ago 🤯
51 条评论

This is how I cut my avocado yesterday 🥑

I still don't understand the need to peel. You just slice in the peel and scoop out with a spoon. This just over complicated it and got your hands dirty for nothing.

Nah this is way better

If you're just eating it then it's fine to spoon out but if you're mixing it with something or serving it up this is way better.

I've never seen anyone do them otherwise in the sushi spot I worked at or other restaurants. I can't imagine getting precession of the width of slices without holding the skin side in my hand. Especially for the tops of rolls.

You know, when we do it, it's not going to look like that.

Not too bad though right?

I would like to know how to pick out avocados without those brown marks I have to pick out.

I think they say it has something to do with the color underneath where you remove the stem. Personally I just go for ones that are just barely soft if I'm going to eat soon otherwise I'll get green and let them ripe at home

Doesn’t everyone do this?

they will after this video circulates enough ha.

Thanks man, this is so useful 🤝

Glad I could find the video! Hope it helps

Very much 👌🏽🔥

Hold up...how have you been cutting them previously?

In half then trying to get the shit out of the inside

Damn inside shit! Yea those seeds dont like coming out unless you twist them.

You’ve been cooking with avacado for two decades and you couldn’t work this shit out for y’self? 😐

How would I randomly find out that cutting the tip off makes it easier to peel if no one told me

Believe me, I learned real quick how to correctly de-seed and cut an Avocado! I had an Avocado tree on my property in the Hollywood Hills. Avocados galore! I miss that tree! 🥑

Oh wow that sounds real nice

Those knife skillz

Wow! That's magicial. I can't wait to try this!

yes cool

next will be the pomegranate hack!

Nice! Thanks Chef!

🤌🤌

That was was masterful

In México is basic tutorial.

If you use a wooden or plastic knife it would preserve for longer time, as iron oxides the avocado and makes it get black faster.

When are you guys coming back lawfully? Our food sucks now.

This guy used to work at our neighborhood sushi spot. He's awesome

He needs to do a tutorial on the slicing

Right? Where was this gem back then? I'd be a pro now!

Definitely not his first avocado

Cut in half and scoop and eat with a spoon.

damn this guy slices avocados like salmon 🫡

forget trying to peel it, just scoop it out with a spoon.

I still think the first part is unnecessary, with a sharp knife, you slice you don't press, then rotate, problem solved.

banger 🔥🔥🔥

The slices only work (really thin) if your knife is extremely sharp. Be careful to get used to do it this way. It works, but be careful!

I had no idea!

Sí, es una historia bastante interesante:

I wish everybody did this because i always get that little nubbie stem in my guac then i lose my mind 🤮

I eat a ton of avocados! Can't wait to try his technique. Not sure if I can do the last part w/o winding up in the ER but I'll try.

you can also just lay it on its side and cut it like you would chop an onion or something similar. Still works the same and much easier

Impressive!

How else would you do it?

@Jurkgy cut it into pieces in the skin and then try to scoop it out without making a mess or squishing all the pieces up.

Additional tip: If you want to store it for consuming later and avoid oxydizing, keep avocado covered with water (no air contact) and keep the nut with it.
