The B-2 stealth bombers that dropped massive bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities began returning to their U.S. base in Missouri on Sunday. An AP journalist watched as seven of the B-2 Spirit bombers came in for landing at Whiteman Air Force Base.

However, if Fordow remains mostly intact and the Iranians still possess 400 kg of fissile material, this operation appears poorly executed. The quality of the intelligence and the effectiveness of the bombing tactics must be called into question. If a $2 billion operation yields such limited results, there should be serious accountability for those responsible.
