Backrooms definitely reminded me at times of The Blair Witch Project. The biggest, most obvious similarity between the two films is the use of “found footage” to help intensify the unknown. Backrooms director Kane Parsons, age 20, strikes me as both a lover & a student of Cinema.

this scene is so emotionally and psychologically layered. the fact that he found genuine happiness in the backrooms, a place everyone else would consider a nightmare, says so much about how deeply disconnected he was from the life he had before. he wasn't just lost in the backrooms, he had finally found somewhere he felt at peace. #Backrooms
