The backstage atmosphere in the WWF was complete CHAOS. Jim Ross is pulling back the curtain on a legendary blowup between Jim Cornette and Shawn Michaels. It started over a botched superkick in Anaheim, but JR calls it an unnecessary pissing contest. Michaels used his massive influence with the... show more

Jim Ross says Triple H was the sacrificial lamb for the infamous Curtain Call incident. While Shawn Michaels, Diesel, and Razor Ramon walked away unscathed because of their status or departure, Hunter Hearst Helmsley was made an EXAMPLE of by the company. Losing to Jake Roberts in the King of the Ring qualifiers wasn't just a bad booking decision. It was ABSOLUTE punishment for breaking kayfabe at Madison Square Garden. Jim Ross doesn't mince words about the situation, calling the whole ordeal a total lack of institutional control. He says those guys were just showing defiance because they knew Vince McMahon was too gracious to stop them. It was total BULLSHIT according to Good Ol' JR. 😡 (source: Grilling JR with Jim Ross Jim Ross)

Jim Ross is STILL fuming over the legendary Jeff Jarrett exit from WWE, and he is holding NOTHING back. The infamous story involves Jarrett supposedly holding up Vince McMahon for money before leaving for WCW, a narrative JR calls ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT. Ross explicitly states regarding the situation: "How he handled it on the way out was, I thought, a little bit full of shit." He makes it clear that Vince McMahon was never going to stiff anyone on a paycheck, and he views Jarrett's leverage play as completely unnecessary. It is a raw look at the locker room politics that defined the Monday Night Wars. Was Jarrett justified in securing his bag, or was he just being unprofessional? 😡 (source: Grilling JR with Jim Ross Jim Ross)

Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson are giving their HONEST assessment of AEW, and JR is not holding back. Despite praising the recent pay-per-view and the INSANE talent on the roster, Good Ol' JR admits that a huge portion of wrestling fans STILL haven't discovered the product. Ross insists AEW continues to OUT-DELIVER expectations, but insists they desperately need someone on the roster to get "HOTTER THAN HELL" to truly break through. Meanwhile, Conrad Thompson breaks down Willow Nightingale's SHOCKING title victory and her upcoming showdown with Mercedes Mone at All In. Does AEW really need a massive roster breakthrough to reach the next level? Or are casual fans just IGNORING superior in-ring action? SOUND OFF IN THE COMMENTS. 👇 (source: Grilling JR with Jim Ross Jim Ross)

Triple H was a total ZERO in 1994 and Jim Cornette is absolutely right to call him out. While modern revisionists try to act like The Game was destined for greatness from day one, he was just a haughty, fluffy character with a big head of hair. He was Joe Nobody while actual legends were doing the heavy lifting. The real tragedy of the business is how Dustin Rhodes was handled. Dustin was a legitimate, top tier worker who could go bell to bell, yet he was pushed aside for gimmicks. Cornette drops the hard truth that Dustin was a natural talent, while the future boss was just playing dress up. It is an EMBARRASSING reality check for anyone who thinks HHH was some kind of prodigy back then. (source: Jim Cornette Jim Cornette)

The Fake Undertaker gimmick was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER that proved one thing: some guys just cannot handle the big leagues. Jim Cornette breaks down why Brian Lee was never meant for the WWF spotlight, despite having the physical tools. It turns out, the "cautionary tale" of Brian Lee wasn't just his lack of charisma, but his complete lack of professionalism. Cornette reveals the moment Vince McMahon realized Brian Lee was a liability. When Lee offered to quit Smoky Mountain Wrestling early just to get to the WWF faster, Vince knew the score. If he will do it to you, he will do it to me. The situation turned into a total circus when Lee got arrested in Nashville and actually told the cops he was The Undertaker. It was total humiliation for the WWF brand. Some people are just destined to be small-time players. 💀 (source: Jim Cornette Jim Cornette)

The Merch King has arrived, and even Jim Ross is struggling to process the phenomenon that is Danhausen. Conrad Thompson is calling it the definitive takeover, noting that Danhausen is currently outselling everyone on the WWE roster with over 40 items on the shop. It is a level of crossover appeal that has permeated ESPN and the NBA playoffs, leaving even the biggest stars answering questions about him. Jim Ross is officially putting the industry on notice. He admits he has never seen anything like this. JR is urging WWE to capitalize immediately, suggesting they put his ass on the road and blow this thing up before the window closes. Is this just a flash in the pan, or is Danhausen the most accidental marketing genius in wrestling history? SOUND OFF BELOW. 👇 (source: Grilling JR with Jim Ross)

CM Punk isn't pulling any punches about the old WWE regime. He is calling out the toxic culture where talent were treated like disposable trash for one minor mistake. Punk claims the turnover was a disaster, saying he remembers people getting fired because their punches sucked. It sounds like a total nightmare where nobody felt safe. Jim Ross isn't letting management off the hook either. He thinks it takes a team effort to screw things up and points out that WWE got complacent. He says nothing is hot right now and that is creative's fault. It is a damning indictment of a system that lost its way. Is this the harsh reality check WWE needs to finally wake up? Watch what JR has to say about the state of the product. (source: Grilling JR with Jim Ross Jim Ross)

Jim Cornette and Brian Last are facing the impossible task of discussing Chris Benoit’s career, and it is every bit as uncomfortable as you would expect. While the internet wrestling community often demands we erase history, Cornette offers a chilling perspective on why pretending he never existed is a mistake. He argues that we cannot just ignore the past because if we do, we forget the rotten things that were done. The conversation takes a dark turn when they contrast the man who was a dedicated, respectful worker in 1994 with the monster he eventually became. Cornette posits that severe brain damage created two entirely different people, noting that if ever a case can be made for someone going out of their mind, this is it. It is a sobering look at how a brilliant technician’s legacy is inextricably tied to his horrific end. Brian Last insists that denying Benoit’s incredible 1994 run in New Japan is simply denying reality. They force the listener to confront the ugly complexity of wrestling history. Should we celebrate the athlete while condemning the man, or is the entire legacy permanently TOXIC? Watch the clip and decide where you draw the line. (source: Jim Cornette Jim Cornette)
