According to Google, Roy Larner - the Lion of London Bridge was "hailed by the people and the media, and ignored, abused and ostracized by the [Conservative] Government, and its agencies." He was finally recommended for a Bravery Medal last year.

What a great Friday surprise, a new song and video by @DominicFrisby, our favourite British comedian. As usual, he’s clever and makes a point, finds a way to make you think, cringe and laugh out loud in less than 3 minutes.

I sent Roy a fiver via one of those appeals. He didn't get an ounce of recognition, wrong sort of hero apparently. Here's to the Roy Larner's of this world. 🍺🍺

Part of the beauty of Larner's story is that he was homeless at the time. He had little stake in society and still put his life in danger to protect his fellows where others ran.
