The banksters are back on their bullshit

"All the major banks right now are instituting checking fees at the exact same time. Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and now JPMorgan Chase announced that since the Biden administration is trying to rein in overdraft fees, they too are going to charge you $10 a month just to have money. That is literally the charge. If you have less than $10,000 in your bank account, banks are going to charge you money. What is the functional difference between that behavior and a drug cartel, right? You try and do something to rein them in and they immediately retaliate. When people talk about a war on poverty, this is what they mean. There is a literal cabal of bankers at the top that are functionally not making it possible to be poor in America."

Switch to a credit union.

The business de-regulations of the Reagan & Clinton eras that were sold as making life easier for American small businesses & entrepreneurs were mostly to benefit financiers, banks, investors. Which is why they're able to pull this shit now. Re-regulation will be difficult.

So far, my credit union isn’t doing this bullshit.

They still don’t have to keep cash reserves since Covid and make so much with the reverse repo system. Would be nice to have IDK a candidate for any office talk about that

Seriously, don’t bank with these fkers!! I have used a credit union for 30 years and it’s the best - ZERO fees.

@headi420 Retail Bankers’ biggest fear is that in light of crypto and e-currency they are becoming obsolete.

These same bankers lobbied to ban crypto while hording it like that damn dragon in lord of the rings.

Just got an email from Citibank this morning saying the same exact thing. $10 unless there's an enhanced direct deposit. What the fuck isn't it enhance direct deposit, and why doesn't my paycheck from work count?
