This week, the IDF Artillery Corps conducted its first operational shelling with the new Ro'em self-propelled howitzer, in support of ground forces operating in southern Lebanon. The 282nd Artillery Regiment used the Ro'em, also known as the SIGMA 155, to shell Hezbollah rocket and anti-tank launch sites. The military says the shelling was "deemed successful and yielded achievements." The IDF says the Ro'em brings "groundbreaking capabilities to the battlefield," including increased fire-rate, longer firing ranges, and better mobility than existing howitzers. The Ro'em will enter service gradually through the conversion of artillery battalions that currently operate the aging M109 howitzer.

🇺🇦🇷🇺 Russian units move on motorcycles, and a Ukranian drone attacks. The motorcycle move is quite obvious. If you’re not afraid of artillery, which kills with shrapnel … but drones, then spreading out on motorcycles makes sense. Even if the drone would have hit, one motorcycle would have been taken out not all. In comparison, an artillery shell could have got them all with shrapnel flying all across everywhere. So one armored vehicle would have made sense, cause artillery barely hit precisely. Russians moving on motorcycles just shows, Ukraine has barely to no artillery left.

Just made another trip to and from Kostyantynivka . 25 kilometers by foot in a day round trip. I’ve done 77 KM in about 10 days. Due to drones and artillery it’s the only way to really do it. Victory is Ukraine.

In these videos, I noticed the use of drones similar to the "Molniya," but their warhead contains an incendiary mixture. When it detonates, the enemy position is engulfed in flames. Since few on the front line have fire extinguishers, positions sometimes burn out along with the artillery pieces. And even if the gun itself doesn’t burn, this incendiary mixture “burns a path” for the following drones.
