A fantastic song, the actual video for this song is excellent as well, Lots of bands have covered this tune, Pete Townsend does a great live version of it. Evidently the lyrics are about oral sex, Dave got the word felator past the censors and it was played on the radio.

I went to a river festival of the Stillaguamish Tribe in Washington State in 2012. There was a stage for bands there and we were dancing around. Heard the band doing what I thought was a cover of Save It For Later. Sounded too on the nose. Guess who it was. Sounded great.

In my top 10 of 80s songs.

I was lucky enough to see them play in downtown Las Vegas many years ago. Great band! A truly timeless song.

Dave told us in Toronto there was an inside joke about this song, the title and refrain was actually "Save it, fellator", a joke aimed at a radio DJ they were feuding with

I always thought it was the Talking Heads that sang this.

I have always been a keen follower of music, yet I hadn't ever heard this song until about 2 years ago when a local community radio DJ played it. It is a good song. But timeless classic? I don't think it reached the Top 30 did it?
