The Beauty Pope

Pope Leo is the only world leader meaningfully talking about the importance of beauty, especially in regard to the rise of Al. Also, I am so excited to share about a project I've been working on, something that is going to bring WOB to real life!

Yes! I absolutely agree with you that a return to Catholicism will bring a return to beauty. This is my church, the Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Knoxville, TN. It was built 8 years ago. Excellent craftsmanship, real stone and marble, full of light—it’s a beautiful space that glorifies God and leaves me feeling inspired every time I attend mass. It’s a great example that beautiful architecture is not only still possible, but also morally necessary. The more people return to Catholicism the more they will see the immorality of ugly architecture and reject it, turning to beauty instead.

Yes. The Holy See is going to be the last bulwark against AI and the machine, the last voice defending beauty and magnificent humanity.

I agree with you, but I’m a bit skeptical about Pope Leo’s comments on AI, especially given his past statements. Feels a little political to me. 😅 And imo, no matter how advanced AI gets, it’ll never come close to human creativity.

I love your channel, but the Pope’s modernism and naturalism destroys the beauty of the supernatural life of grace in souls.

I'm a pessimistic when it come to the heads of any major group. I'd be concerned about modern influence worming it's way into places you don't want it. What I'm predicting is Leo looking for one thing and as the order is placed down you'll get something you really really don't.

In truth without God beauty diminishes. As a society stray away from that which is divine one of the characteristics is the gradual decay of the will to excel in the arts . Materialism kicks in and mediocrity in the form of paintings, monuments and buildings become the prevailing reality.
