Johnny Depp on the difference between art and product: In 1989, a 25-year-old Johnny Depp is asked about returning for another season of 21 Jump Street. His answer was not what you'd expect. "It put me on the map," he acknowledges. "In the first two seasons, I think there was a lot of good stuff going on... there were important messages." But then something shifted. "Towards the third season it started to get a little showboy... it just started to become false. It started to become like this action-packed — you know, it's like a can of soup. You just market it and send it out there." He pauses, then adds the line that cuts deepest: "Now it's a product." On being labelled a teen idol, he's equally honest: "The sex symbol, teen idol stuff — that's not my goal. If it happens in the interim, that's fine. It's nice. I'm glad people see me that way. I don't really see myself that way." And on fame itself: "Being recognisable is part of the territory. It just comes with it. Whether it's pleasant at times or unpleasant at times, it's just something that comes along with it." But it's when he talks about filming Cry-Baby that the real Johnny Depp comes through. "This is the best vacation I could have ever had. I would have done this movie for free had I known what it was going to be like, like a really strange dream." He then draws the contrast that explains everything: "In film you do two, maybe three pages a day. In television you do 10 to 12. It's constant. Quick. You've got to get it out, get it out. It's product. It's fast food."

I'M HOSTING A COMPETITION! Want to win $30 of lux? I think theres a lot of potential for speedruns of the Cupper Level Warden Freekit%, me and some friends tried to hit a speedyish time in sponsored survival and finished with 5:12 left. I want to see the best time possible. The rules are as follows: 1. You must only play in the Sponsored Survival gamemode 2. Your entire run must be recorded from at least 1 player's pov 3. You complete the run when the warden is dead and the last button has been shot. 4. Time is based on time left on the IGT (top left) 5. You have until the mode goes away on the 9th of June to post a time 6. Submissions are done either through interaction with this post or via DM's or discord or via Discord ( Please send me the whole run, is a good service. 7. The prize will be delivered as 1x$10 giftcard for each crew member (if you win as a duo or solo we will find a way to get you paid fairly) on a platform of their choosing. Anything that is genuinely gamebreaking is banned too, optimizations are allowed, exploits arent. This covers pretty much everything, my goal with this is to see what the fastest time looks like, their optimizations and their strategies. To that end I nominate ritz and aeiou, two players who are known for their competencies in doing pve fast in bungie games. I invite anyone to join in this competition, I want to see how well you can play this map and complete its pinnacle challenge. May the fastest crew win!

In Set 9, I was Top 10 in BoxBox Bootcamp. There were 36 minutes until elimination, and I only needed 5 LP (a 4th) to make it to the cutoff. By a stroke of luck, a queue pops with 33 minutes left on the clock. A TFT game is typically 35 minutes, which meant I would have to surrender to end the game prematurely to get the 4th rather than playing it out I played out of my mind and did not say a single word for 32 minutes straight, and I found myself fighting for a Top 4 with 5 HP left. The guy in 5th had 3 HP, so in this last round, I just needed him to die with less units killed. I hit a necessary 5-cost Aatrox on my LAST BIT OF GOLD and my board spikes. The best case scenario happens, I get a <2 unit loss, my opponent takes a 4 unit loss. I see my chat in my peripheral vision going crazy because I realized I was gonna make the cutoff with less than a minute left. With adrenaline pumping and "I have to forfeit ASAP" in my head, I type /ff... But... because I didn't wait for the death animation to finish, I surrender before the next round comes. When you surrender in TFT, your health goes straight to -99. When I saw the results screen, I froze. My limbs were cold from the nerves, but I didn't even feel it. I looked at my screen in despair, as I had just witnessed the end of my bootcamp run. The clip below is from my only TFT upload on my channel. In Set 14, I got #2 in the Bootcamp and lost by 1 game's worth of LP. #1 grinded more, wanted it more, and improved like a beast. I could only respect such a gallant victory. (shoutout niamocha) Thank you BoxBox for giving me these chances to compete. I will change my fate this set.

I’m giving away $15,050 today to my top supporters from the Avantis and Boundless drops! Why am I doing this? Easy: I wouldn’t be here without your support these last 2 months. I started this infofi journey on 06/25/2025, and I’m proud of what we’ve built together. Time to give back. If you liked, commented, or reposted my content about them, you might be eligible to get between $50 and $1,000. Check the leaderboards 👇 👉 100 winners for Avantis: 👉 15 winners for Boundless: 💡 If you’re on the list, reply in the comments with: ▫ Wallet ▫ Your ranking position + which drop (Avantis and/or Boundless) ⚡ Payments go out today in USDC on Base. Send an EVM-compatible address (Rabby, Metamask, etc.) or an exchange wallet that supports Base. ━━━━━━━━━ Making these sheets was CRAZY, almost all manual, post by post, to keep it fair. From now on, you can engage directly on my Discord in the post-twitter channel (see the video below for a step-by-step guide). This way I can build leaderboards faster and reward the community every drop. 👉 Join my Discord: Leaderboards reset monthly, so there are always fresh chances. ━━━━━━━━━ Looking ahead: for every drop I get here on X (Wallchain, Kaito, or any other), 30% always goes back to the community: • 10% for top engagers • 20% for top engagers who are also part of my private community (currently limited to Brazilians, but we may expand to English speakers in the future if it makes sense, and if I can deliver real value and support, not just rewards). Thanks a lot for the support, I’m hyped to share this with you all. God bless!

People are debating gambling these days. A lot of the focus is on prediction markets---but our youngest children are gambling in Roblox, not prediction markets. What values are we inculcating in our children as they inhabit their first algorithmic nation? For my latest blog post, Branden and I decided to find out. We spent a week playing the 30 most trending games on Roblox. Watch the video below for a walkthrough of what we did and what we found, using MY MINING BRAINROTS as an example. What we found really surprised me. --Gambling-like mechanics are ubiquitous among the most popular games: the median game has 8! --Some of these mechanics are incredibly predatory. The worst is a "chained purchase" mechanic in which young children are enticed to spend digital currency to buy a good, only to discover that the purchase is just the first installment in an undisclosed sequence they must make to get the items they want. --The games all copy each other. They are not independently inventing these mechanics; rather, there's a shared underlying architecture of gambling being used by everyone. We conclude our piece with some recommendations for Roblox and policymakers. --Roblox should urgently experiment with alternative mechanics to help developers align on different, better models for designing and monetizing games. --Policymakers need access to systematic measurement of these bundles, and should take action to force transparency and potentially outlaw some or many of them. Lots more in our piece, linked in the reply below. Let us know what you think! We'll be doing a lot more work in this area.
