Love your videos, yet this is the first I disagree with. I agree that mankind has misinterpreted, yet, this interpretation is incorrect also. When we read the passage, we see God is creating things by saying “let there be”, showing he is making statements. When he says, “let us make man in our image”, it was immediately after he created ANIMALS. The correct interpretation, is that the Bible was teaching us of evolution. That mankind, has come about via a process of gradual evolution from animals which existed here prior.
