@MOHELA Almost everything they've tried to do has been overturned by the courts. There's some folks that got help though, which is nice.

@MOHELA @RepKatiePorter please investigate why @usedgov still hasn’t implemented law 117-200 passed by Congress two years ago. Joint consolidation borrowers are still paying debts of ex-spouses & blocked from PSLF they earned many times over. @SC_DoUsPart

The Trump Administration is officially putting an end to Joe Biden’s illegal student loan bailout attempts. No student loan has been referred to collections since March 2020. But starting on May 5th, U.S. Department of Education will resume involuntary collections for borrowers with defaulted federal student loans. Debt cannot be wiped away – it just ends up getting transferred to others. Why should Americans who didn’t go to college or went to college and responsibly paid back their loans – pay for other Americans’ student loans? If you take out a loan – you must pay it back.
