Read about Supabase Queues:

Special shout-out to the @tembo_io team + contributors. Their "PGMQ" extension is the core of this release. PGMQ is 100% open source under PostgreSQL License. Supabase will continue to support existing open source tools whenever we can. Give it a star:

@supabase We need Dart backend (edge or whatever) on Supabase 🙏

@supabase I'm very happy that @supabase has implemented queues. But is it worth throwing yourself into them now when @RabbitMQ and #Kafka have proven themselves long ago and reliably? What is the gain? Or is this option only for those who didn't know about the queues yet?

@supabase @RabbitMQ this option uses Postgres, so it's a lightweight option for developers to keep everything they develop in a single system (with transactional guarantees) it lowers the barrier to entry, but of course won't compete at the top end with a specialized tool

@supabase Any info you can share on pricing?

@supabase the feature is free - you just pay for the database usage

@supabase this enables a lot of use cases for my side projects i just might get away with supabase for everything backend-related now 👀

@supabase How do I convince @UlamDevin to let us switch to Supabase

@supabase @UlamDevin we send him some swag
