A million percent. As a Marine officer who's been out since 2009, I work out 7 days a week. I'm 54 and constantly shocked at how most men my age look. I don't get it and never will.

This is so true, I'm watching it today as my 90yo FIL went to the nursing home last week. It's excruciating, horrific. The place is a morgue with live people. At 67 I am in good shape, I started when I was 17 (boot camp) and never stopped. I put the alcohol away for good yesterday.

Being 50 is wild right now. I am seeing old classmates and friends that look like they're 60 to 70 years old and others that look like they're in their 30's and 40's.

The biggest flex isn’t comparing yourself to your surroundings. It’s becoming so capable that your surroundings start asking what you’re doing.

Feels a bit evil, but you can't force/save everyone. Save yourself.

Nothing says “healthy aging” like turning birthdays into a competitive sport.

I mentally catalog people as I get older,,some as examples, others as warnings. The active guys somehow keep negotiating with Father Time; the guys shaped like melted candles who can’t reach their shoes appear to have accepted the original terms

The best anti aging strategy is taking care of yourself before you need to

the real flex would be not making aging another status competition

Chuando Tan is proof of this. Dude is actually 60 but constantly gets mistaken for someone in his 30s. And what’s interesting is how unexciting his approach is: good sleep, training, simple food and consistency. Nothing exotic, just years of doing the basics.

“Flexing” in the face of others’ suffering is pathetic. Stay fit for your own quality of life, not to flex. Plus- the term “flex” is for losers.

Get outside and walk today! Skip the HIIT class… grab your family and go on a 3 hour walk! If you can’t do 3 hours, do 2 hours. If you can’t do 2 hours, then cancel everything on your schedule, because you’re missing the plot, and you won’t understand until it’s too late.

Staying strong, active and healthy as you age is definitely something worth aiming for. Getting older is inevitable, but how you age can be influenced by the habits you build along the way.

If you live to flex, you have a pretty sad life.

Looking young is nice. Feeling strong at an older age is even better.

Our body is built for action, not to sit all day in an office or in bed and scroll all day.

"This exercise has two purposes. One is to reflect back on the trajectory of your life so far. The other is to help you realize that you can continue to make choices, to opt for new directions if what you’re doing has been dissatisfying or has become stale." - David Posen,

The biggest flex on the planet is making peace with yourself and knowing your worth is not tied to ability, vanity, material possessions, or status of health.

Only thing about this video that worries me is why the guy on the left is gonna die in 10 years. He looks great

I tell guys in their late 30’s early 40’s figure it out now. What will you do that you can do regularly and sustain over the coming decades to move your body and keep it fit and strong.

Funny how at your 20s you don't even see this. It begins to get obvious after your 30s.

Spot on! Not too many people talk about it but our Senior citizens were terribly impacted in the early 90's with the introduction of Oxycontin post surgery. Rather than moving around to recover, they sat in a chair, popped those pills and ugh, the results were devastating :-(

I remember people my age clowning me in my 20’s about always working out “what are you training for?” Now we look a decade apart. Exercise is the ultimate anti-aging protocol
