I still think the sack before the pick 6. Klare was wide open in the middle of the field was a bigger missed opportunity. That sequence was a 14 point play.

Also missed Klare, the play right before the pick six.

This one stings more. Down 7-0 after the big play to Jeremiah up the deep middle of the D. The next play, Klare wide open for a TD in the middle again, Inniss open in the flat. Sayin takes a sack, then throws a pick 6 next play. Should’ve been 7-7, ends up 14-0.

Sayins missed everything. Gotta give UM credit on the Dline and backers, but he literally made every wrong decision- guys were open, QB has to be able to scramble vs Canes. He didn’t

That’s why Shot plays off Pull-Up Boot opposite the QB’s throwing arm can be such fools gold. So hard for QB to get the proper depth, flip his hips, navigate the secondary contain player and then uncork a 50 yard Piss-Missile across his body…

That’s the beauty of pressure on the QB. It shows up even on a play where there isn’t actual pressure. The QB’s clock speeds up and they don’t see the whole field. Miami’s DLine gets sacks but they get a ton of pressure. It’s beautiful to watch.

Miami lines and defense played excellent last night, but having a freshmen qb that still lacks experience and vision in year 1 was a huge factor

Open it up to Tavian St Clare. Sayin is not the answer. He refuses to run (or can’t) and can’t read the defense. He holds on to the ball so long, locks into one guy and that’s it.

Julian has to learn to see the field better. It's his biggest flaw. If he fixes that, it's a wrap

Those weren’t the only wide open ones he missed. Hopefully he hits the film room and improves moving forward.

Actually I think it was the moment right before the INT for a TD. TE was open. Likely would have scored.

I disagree David. Go review the play before the pick 6. He drops his eyes to just take the sack, and misses his TE wide open for a TD. Sack, next play pick 6. Thad’s a 14 point swing that hurt more

Sayin completely flipped a switch as some point this season when he decided to not use his instincts and eyes like he did the first 3 months of the season. Then play was designed for Tate to get the deep ball and he never even looked at him. He looked completely lost at times

Dude had zero time and was backing away from the hits midway through the second quarter. Miami broke thier spirit. Miami beat them up and hurt them. This “miss” is a direct result of that punishment.

Sayin has done this all year, it’s not surprising anymore. This wasn’t even the only time during THIS game he did it 🤷🏽‍♂️

That is tough to see as a Buckeye fan. Same with the play before the pick 6 when Klare was open in the end zone. Sayin will have a big year next year, schedule is tough.

The only way this works is if tate is his first read. I don’t think that was the case when rolling to his weak side. Can’t build up enough power to go deep until he sets his feet. When his feet are actually set to make a throw, his first two reads are covered and then PRESSURE

You put pressure on any qb and they won’t see the field as well. A consequence of a terrible job by the oline early. Improved later but we can’t all be dumping on sayin given how the oline was dominated early.

The more I see tape the more I think Ryan Day still deserves criticism for the lack of tempo and “shifting into 2nd gear” on offense, but Julian Sayin being a freshman really showed. Sayin missed a lot of reads and had no ability to run when the pocket collapsed to extend drives

Sayin is young, and like a lot of QB’s when he got sped up throughout the year he missed open guys. For OSU you have to hope he progresses and gets a lot better come 26-27 season

Wow. St. Clair needs a strong look for QB1. Need a dual threat QB in this offense. Sayin is too small and is a pocket passer only.
