The biggest problem I’ve been vocal about for years with the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates is that they do not listen. There’s a difference between running a campaign and winning an election. Winning requires direct, decisive messaging that speaks to people with different interests, different concerns, and different...

For once, I agree with James Carville’s overall point. “Black folks… the most loyal part of the entire Democratic coalition. If you disrespect them, they know it. And a Democratic Party can never show any distance between itself and Black voters. And if it gets to the point that the progressives want to disrespect people, they're… going to lose a constituency that has stuck with you for the last 70 years.” But he almost lost me at his first two words in the clip, “the Blacks”. We are Black PEOPLE, not crayons.

I joined Stephen A Smith to talk about the Texas Primary and my belief that investing in Black voters is the missing link. Black voters who show up are the party’s most loyal base — over 80% of Black men and more than 90% of Black women vote Democratic. If you want different outcomes, you have to make different investments. The only place Democrats have flipped Senate seats in the South is Georgia, the third Blackest state in America — where there was a real investment in turning out Black voters. The question isn’t complicated: Why aren’t Democrats investing in the Black vote in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi? Also, primaries are about turning out your bases. The data says that Talarico had the money and time to invest in turning out white and Hispanic voters. To win he will have to do what no other Texas Democrat has been able to do in a general election — invest in Black voters to turnout Black communities.

New York Times reporter Jeremy Peters admits to Bill Maher that the DSA’s stated goal is not only to take over the Democratic Party but to “take out the entire constitutional system.” Maher says what they really want is communism, and you don’t even have to dig deep to prove it. PETERS: “They’re not running to be members of the Democratic Party. They’re running, many of them anyway, as Democratic Socialists. It’s a totally different political organization. And in fact, they want to take out the Democratic Party. I mean, that’s their stated goal. They not only want to take out the Democratic Party, they want to take out the entire constitutional system that the Democratic Party is allowed to participate in governance.” MAHER: “And they like communism. I proved it here a couple of weeks ago just by quoting them. They use the word a lot. They’re not actually trying to hide it, although if you ask them they will deny it.” Cea Weaver, Zohran Mamdani's appointed tenant advocate have previously said things like: • “Elect more communists” • “Seize private property!” • “Private property, including and kind of ESPECIALLY homeownership, is a weapon of white supremacy…” When they tell you who they are, believe them.

Victor Davis Hanson says socialists didn’t take over the Democratic Party because the party was already moving in that direction, arguing Democrats gave the far-left the “blueprint” for its agenda: “They have a message that doesn’t appeal to anybody, and they’re very inbred, insular people. But I don’t think they took over the Democratic Party. I think the Democratic Party was socialist before they existed. And everything that they’re calling for, with a few exceptions, the Democratic Party has already been for and has already enacted. They destroyed the border. They want to pack the court. They want to destroy the Electoral College. They want to get new states. They want to destroy the filibuster. They want to defund the police. They endorsed BLM. That was the socialist agenda. But all they said was, ‘We want to join you guys because you’ve already given us a blueprint.’ And so that’s what they did. It’s incumbent upon Republicans to show that the Democratic Party no longer exists, Sean. It’s a socialist party, and they’ll try to disguise that in the primary and then disguise it in the election until they rule. And then they’ll turn out to be full-fledged Mamdanis when they’re elected.”

Stephen A. Smith says the Democratic Party is leaderless and in disarray, arguing failed leadership and political missteps have left them struggling to regroup: “The fact is, it’s leaderless, it’s rudderless, and it has been that way for a very, very long time because of things that happened with Joe Biden—because of the lies that were told to protect him and shield him and the Democratic Party from the kind of things that were going on during that administration. It came back to bite them, particularly with the election. We all know this to be true. And since that time, they’ve been in flux. Democrats all over the place recognize the fact that there needs to be somebody capable of stepping up to be a leader. That person has been trying to be Gavin Newsom, who has decided that governing is something else that needs to be just as much, if not more, of a priority than trolling Trump and trying to beat Trump at his own game. I don’t believe that’s going to work.”

🚨NEW: David Friedberg explains why people have lost interest in the Democratic party (MUST WATCH) "I think the Democratic party has split into two parties: the democratic party *with* beliefs and the democratic party *without* beliefs. The Democratic party with beliefs is very far left and their beliefs are fundamentally rooted in socialism and marxism... The rest of the Democratic party, the "moderate party," really don't know what their beliefs are. Republicans know clearly what their beliefs are. Every member of the cabinet in DC we met with had the exact same message and exact same set of beliefs as to what this admin stands for and what they're trying to do... Because the moderates in the Democratic party have not stated a set of beliefs for their country/party, the party is effectively being represented by the part of the party that *does* have beliefs: the deeply socialist/marxist beliefs. They have subsumed the message and as a result this is why people have lost interest in the Democratic party..." 📸: david friedberg The All-In Podcast

AOC: He had to defeat a Republican and the old guard of the Democratic party at the same time. He was fighting a war on two fronts and not just one. And he still won resoundingly. And I think the message that that sends is that the Democratic Party cannot last much longer by denying the future, by trying to undercut our young, by trying to undercut a next generation of diverse and upcoming Democrats that our actual electorate and voters support.

I am running to serve as the Chair of the Democratic National Committee. When I took over Minnesota DFL, we were in debt and disarray. But we brought people together, built a winning coalition, and delivered results. I’m ready to get to work to rebuild our party.

The status quo of crypto regulation by enforcement has failed retail customers. Einstein once said: “If we do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result, that’s the definition of insanity.” It’s time for Congress to bring sanity to crypto regulation.

I am excited to launch Democrats for Hogan and have my good friend and former Democratic State Senator Bobby Zirkin on our team. To my Democratic and Independent friends, you know me and you know my proven track record of reaching across the aisle to find common ground for the common good. You know that I have the courage to put people over politics and to put country over party. I will continue to be the same strong independent leader for Maryland that I always have been. If you are completely fed up with the divisiveness and dysfunction and want a strong, independent leader who will fight to clean up the mess in Washington—then join us.

Wow… Abdul El-Sayed is going to have a tough time with Black voters in Detroit. Black voters in Detroit feel disenfranchised and neglected by the Democrat Party. “I don’t think any Democratic Party prioritizes the Black vote because it’s always a ploy to get the Black vote. They make all these promises, but once that vote is in and stuff like that, then it’s operation as normal.” Abdul El-Sayed struggled with Black voters in the primary election...it's only going to get worse. This is more evidence that people are waking up to the neglect of the Democrat Party.

DO YOU SEE HOW THEY DO US?! Katy Tur tries to explain the shift in the Democratic electorate to the right and attempts to pin it on Black men. Thank you, Symone D. Sanders Townsend, Eugene Robinson, and Michele Norris, for dropping facts and setting the record straight. We Black men have been consistent and are still the strongest Democratic voting bloc, second only to Black women. The election is over now, so I’m going to say this: I felt insulted that my vote was in question and had to be defended!

James Talarico ran up the score in the whitest area of Texas. Meanwhile Harris County — home to a million Black people — only produced 189,000 total Democratic primary votes. Talarico had a strategy to target white and Latino voters and the data shows that’s how he won. Black people have to realize the power we have and maximize it. People don’t want to highlight raw numbers because they cut out the emotion. They paint a clear picture of how we got here. Black communities in the Deep South aren’t being engaged at the level needed to turnout and flip states. That is the core issue with the Democratic Party. If James Talarico is going to be successful in the fall he’s going to need to engage Black voters in Texas with the same funding and energy he’s put into Hispanic voters. Beto lost chasing the middle while 900,000 Black voters in Texas stayed home when he ran. I don’t apologize for wanting more Black leadership in America. We elect 80-85 white people to the U.S. Senate every term. I believe if we want something different we have to do something different, we have to send a different type of leader. I’m going live to discuss this further, Black people we have the numbers to shift the landscape. We need a hyper focus on turning our people out. Doing so will increase our power, which unlocks wealth and will benefit the nation as a whole. In God we trust, everybody else bring data! Share if you care 🦾

David Sacks: The DSA is taking over the Democratic Party, here are their radical policy goals “They actually say they want to abolish the Senate. They want to abolish the carceral state, that means basically police forces and prisons. They want to abolish ICE and grant amnesty for all, they do not support any deportations whatsoever. They want to replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary that is chosen by and subordinate to Congress. So this would be a total makeover of our constitutional system. They want public ownership of major corporations. They want to defund the Department of War. This is a very radical organization, and you would laugh at a lot of these types of proposals, but you can't really laugh at it anymore because these guys are taking over the Democratic Party. They do not actually see the traditional establishment wing of the Democratic Party as an ally. They see it as an obstacle. A DSA co-chair said, ‘We're using the Democratic Party as a ballot access vehicle, not because we share its goals. We build our own organization, get elected under the Democratic label, caucus with Democrats when it's useful, and push our own agenda from the inside. We see the Democratic establishment as an obstacle, not a home.’ So the DSA is coming for the Democratic Party. It controls the base now, it's where all the energy is. I think this takeover will continue.”

Stephen A. Smith comes right out and says it: The Democrats now have to OWN Anthony Fauci and all of his scandals because they USED him “to enforce so much on the American people.” He said that “direct connection” to the Democratic Party may come back to bite them in the midterms. SMITH: “I don’t think it amounts to nothing. Here’s why.” “Because he’s Anthony Fauci, and because there’s such a direct connection to the Democratic Party, remember the Democratic Party rode that wave to get Trump out of office…” “Because again, Trump and the economy…according to them, everything was looking a little bit decent and then the virus, the pandemic arrived.” “And all of a sudden everything went haywire and everything went downhill, and they rode that momentum…” “But the point is, is that Democrats rode that wave. And so when you look at Anthony Fauci now, the bottom line is they don’t get to separate themselves from him now.” “They don’t get to pull that off.” “If there’s any suspicion that can be elevated in his direction, that gets attached to the Democratic Party because you utilized him, basically, to enforce so much upon the American people at that particular moment in time.” “And folks are not going to forget that come midterm!” “They’re not going to forget it.”
