The United States risks an economic and national security crisis by relying on China and unstable nations like Mozambique for minerals. Alaska has an unparalleled mineral base and many promising projects in development, but we need additional policies that will facilitate domestic production and processing. I’m committed to working with this administration to make that a priority. While we’re at it, we should explore whether it makes sense to revive the Bureau of Mines to bring a strategic, coordinated emphasis to the start of our supply chains—domestic mineral development.

The aircraft seen in the video is a Beechcraft 1900D, which regularly transports non-local employees of Pakistan and the Chinese from Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore to the Chaghai airport. This private aircraft is being used to transport Pakistani and Chinese personnel, military engineers, working at gold and copper mining in Chaghi, Balochistan. The area includes Reko Diq and Saindak one of the world's most significant mineral regions, known for its vast deposits of gold, copper, and other valuable natural resources. Reko Diq is located in Chaghi District, Balochistan a region where Pakistan conducted six consecutive nuclear tests, leaving the local population exposed to the long-term effects of nuclear radiation. Despite these risks, there is not a single specialized cancer hospital or adequate medical facility in the area to diagnose and treat cancer, skin disorders, and other radiation-related illnesses. Despite the area's enormous resource potential, many local communities continue to face severe poverty, limited economic opportunities, inadequate infrastructure, and restricted access to basic services. While billions of dollars' worth of resources are extracted from the region, the benefits have not been distributed equitably among the local Baloch population.

My analysis of the Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours. If the tankers use the Iran route, they are dominantly Iran-related. If the tankers use the Oman route, they are not, and never sanctioned. I have heard from ship owners that most tankers cannot use the Iran route because the EU has not lifted sanctions on IRGC. Using the Iran route would risk sanctions, making the Oman route the only viable option. With more conflict going on between IRGC and the US, the visible AIS data on Oman's tanker route is going to go dark again, which means Iran will have to keep escalating in order to completely halt flows. For the US, the fact that the Oman route might be blocked presents it with a big ultimatum: either the US escalates or gives IRGC control of the Strait of Hormuz. Logic says there's no way that would happen, so escalation will continue. Given that Trump has made it obvious that he does not want to escalate, I fear that the IRGC would just keep escalating until they gain control. This issue is far from over. I have included the video from MarineTraffic and my table for inbound tankers.

They try to go to DeVonta Smith on the out route from condensed 2x2 (basically the only thing he ever runs from those looks) and when it isn't there the options on the backside are an out route to AJ Brown that already broke, and a Dig route to Dallas Goedert that is breaking into a safety that isn't conflicted by any other route. Thankfully, AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts bail it out.
