@Blockstream I love what you're building. And we all gotta stop overusing "sovereign". If your ability to sync is dependent on one particular company continuing to provide a free service, are you truly sovereign? Keep up the good work, it looks awesome and I appreciate you

The future of finance runs on Bitcoin and that future is starting to arrive. The Bitcoin Conference, our CEO Adam Back shared how Blockstream has spent the last decade building the infrastructure for a Bitcoin-native world: protocols, custody, hardware, and layer-2s like Liquid Network 🌊. From rebranding to the Blockstream app to launching new enterprise tools and asset management offerings, we’re entering a new chapter focused on sovereignty, security, and scale. Huge thanks to everyone who came by the booth, joined a session, or just stopped to talk Bitcoin with us.

Satoshi chose secp256k1 for Bitcoin’s cryptography. Jonas Nick and Blockstream Research are among the co-maintainers of libsecp256k1, the library every Bitcoin node runs to implement it. Researching what comes next is a natural extension of that work.

Upstream Data has a new software initiative starting with our LoadSync™ industrial bitcoin mining controller. We converted from PLC controls to a much more scalable embedded Linux based architecture. This project is led by b_rowan and James Hilliard. Brett gives an overview of what it can do today, but there's so much more coming soon! LoadSync is just the beginning of our software plans, I can't wait to show you what we have in store. Our long term goal for LoadSync is to have a drop-in product for every bitcoin mine on the planet at any scale. A complete fleet management tool for everything associated with a bitcoin mining load. LoadSync is built upon an open source library also maintained by Brett, called PyASIC. More and more bitcoin miners are integrating PyASIC every day, you should too! Go find it on GitHub. At Upstream Data we intend to continue leading the industry in technology, product application and high performance bitcoin mining infrastructure.

An open source project developing a desktop “Pick-and-Place” machine. (📍All of the source on GitHub) The LumenPnP can be used for assembling electronic components onto circuit boards! The project is getting a huge update with a whole new control box, integrating the pneumatics required to pick the parts, and a custom controller. > The controller uses Marlin firmware as the brain, and controls six stepper motors to move the machine. > It also controls two pneumatic pumps and valves for actually picking up the parts with the machine's nozzle tips. All of the source for the machine are available on GitHub!: Credit: Opulo with the awesome Stephen Hawes 👋 —- Weekly robotics and AI insights. Subscribe free:

The Bitcoin source code is stored in the Arctic. In 2020, Bitcoin’s source-code repository was included in GitHub’s Arctic Code Vault project. GitHub took a snapshot of the active public Bitcoin and other important open-source project repositories, recorded 21 terabytes of data on 186 reels of archival film, and transported the collection to Svalbard, Norway. It was deposited on July 8 in a decommissioned coal mine beneath the permafrost. The storage project was designed with a thousand-year preservation goal. What went into the mine was Bitcoin’s software source code, not everyone’s bitcoin, and not their private keys. Bitcoin joined a physical archive that also included Linux and Python.

1/8 Today, we introduce CTR, the coordination asset for the Bitcoin economy. Over the past two years, we built an end-to-end Bitcoin economy that relies on the Bitcoin Network as its source of truth. With CTR, we're handing control of this economy to the people who use it.

Your benchmark should be a free market asset without manipulation. This means it needs to trade 24/7/365 and be a true representation of the market. Bitcoin is the best benchmark. If you can't beat it, you have to buy it. I explain to Varney & Co. this morning.

Matthew Kratter of Bitcoin University gives one of the best talks on Bitcoin: "If self sovereign adoption took us from zero dollars a coin to sixty nine thousand dollars a coin, all of those flows from BlackRock and the Trumps and Saylor and everything has has only taken us a few ten thousand dollars higher than at this moment." "Instead of looking to the government or Saylor or BlackRock or someone else as our saviors, if you want the price of Bitcoin to go up, you just need to use it as money yourself. You need to because if Bitcoiners aren't going to use Bitcoin as money, I'm not sure who is." "Ask to pay in Bitcoin, ask to be paid to be paid in Bitcoin, because this is how real Bitcoin adoption works. You should be HODLing your sats, trying to get rid of US dollars, whatever your fiat currency is, because this is the money of pedophile rings and forever wars. Don't hold US dollars. And that's the that's the fastest way we get to higher Bitcoin prices is we need to destroy US dollar network effects. And we need to increase Bitcoin network effects. And the way you do that is every Bitcoiner runs a node, gets paid in Bitcoin and tries to buy as much as possible using using Bitcoin."
