We had a well trained Norwegian Elkhound. She loved the bond of understanding & completing commands. At 7 or 8 years old, my daughter learned the commands & that fantastic canine did what ever she asked. It was in the days of camcorders, but I wish I would have filmed it. Both weighed about 50 pounds. If only I could go back in time for only a half hour.

I love German Shepherds. When I was born, my parents were given a retired police dog. He hung with me for as long as my parents had him. He used to take naps with me on an old car seat that was kept on the back porch. His name was name was "Prince."
