LSSTF Executive Secretary, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, described the move as a “proactive step” aimed at boosting the morale of security personnel, while ensuring tighter security across the State. Lagos Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, who received the items on behalf of the Command, assured the State Government of immediate deployment of the tools to strategic Area Commands. He expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government for the support, emphasising that the gadgets would help the police to raise surveillance level and maintain safety across the State. The ministry of public safety and security is no longer functional, the governor has refused to appoint a commissioner for the ministry, this is the ministry that controls the command and control center and our emergency call numbers, that ministry is very important so the governor should please pay attention to that ministry. In the absence of the commissioner the permanent secretary of that ministry needs to be active, it’s getting out of hand. We need help in Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo wake up and stay active your excellency.
