the br0ken series a (lengthy) thread 🧵

now that all 36 pieces have found a home :) I’d like to take a moment to share a bit more background on the project first, I built a custom website, used as a tool to zoom in (all pixel-perfect) and to display the works in full-screen ↓↓↓

then I’d like to thank my friend @Nicolas_Sassoon, who’s been like a mentor to me throughout this project, as well as @uncertaingaze, who coded the website this series wouldn’t be what it is without you two 🖤 ↓↓↓

it started in November 2024, while waiting for an endless 3D render to finish, I played around with the plotter I wanted to properly pen-plot sharp pixels, so I created a custom tool to generate and break them, and something sparked. ↓↓↓

the drawing was nice, but wanted to see if I could turn the idea into a loop, and br0ken 01 emerged (in the collection of @wsavas) I felt I was onto something, and mainly, it felt good. It felt liberating from the meticulousness of 3D architecture ↓↓↓

“I push pixels until they crack, then I sit with the debris and piece them back together until they find their own beat. There’s something strangely therapeutic in that; breaking, reshaping, repeating." br0ken 08 (in the collection of @m0dest___ ) ↓↓↓

"Each artwork is generated through a combination of coding, motion graphics, digital collage, and pixel painting, merging multiple processes into a single visual language." br0ken 10 (in the collection of @jdsears) ↓↓↓

every artwork includes various downloadable sidecar files, because I think a piece can go beyond a single file (platforms should add this feature imo!) find the .zip on the website at the bottom of the artwork pages br0ken 03 (in the collection of @SurfriderNFT ) ↓↓↓

Inspiration-wise, I pick up a lot from being around this space, a few important for me for this project: @XCOPYART @kimasendorf @xer0x_XYZ @sabatobox ↓↓↓

3 days after I started reaching out to collectors to discuss the series, it sold out. I'm beyond excited about this group, some new faces and some who’ve been here from the start the reception exceeded my expectations. TRULY GRATEFUL 🙇 to everyone who showed support 🖤 ↓↓↓

if you want to know about the numbers the 36 artworks sold for 0.25 ETH one sold on secondary for 0.5 ETH one is listed on secondary at 1 ETH (br0ken 34) ↓↓↓

now im going to tag the collectors like we are in 2021 on hicetnunc, thank you all, sincerly. @wsavas @yukokosaka @SurfriderNFT @nucleo_art @ZanzibarVenturz @ArtMonochrome2 @randytlittle @m0dest___ @Scamart @Jdsears @aldover_eth @0xsigler @RaymondConnol15 @jedi6900 @PanopticThought @mikegee @thisistolo @Nicolas_Sassoon @foretwenty @drleenft @batzdu @rain41 @hashrunner_ @Crevil0 @Clavdio @uncertaingaze @nightshare @MikeDeGilio @DtheletterD @yangwong

Congratulations 👏🏽 Beautiful story, a year long endeavor paying off. Well deserved!

@AugursNFT Obrigado Henrique! I wondered many times if people would connect with abstract works like this, in colors, in pixels, was out of my comfort zone!

I was certain they would :)
