The broadcasting watchdog Ofcom says it will investigate whether a BBC Gaza documentary narrated by the son of a Hamas official misled the audience. It follows a BBC review which found that the documentary had breached the BBC's guidelines on accuracy. Most of the blame was placed on the independent production company which made the film.

This evening חדשות 13 revealed the warning of the security establishment that was presented to the cabinet in recent days, according to which Hamas is strengthening and restoring its capabilities - and is returning to almost complete control of the Strip. The ministers were told , among other things, that 13 municipalities out of 25 have returned to full activity; police and checkpoints have been deployed again, and that Hamas is repairing significant infrastructure and restoring its consciousness among the public in Gaza. Senior IDF officials said: "It is impossible to ignore the fact that Hamas is strengthening and restoring its capabilities in the Gaza Strip. Isn’t it so telling that hateful idiots at Glastonbury will chant “death to the IDF” While actual Gazans, in Gaza, say “Bravo IDF” for ridding the Gaza Strip of Hamas’ tyranny? Of course the BBC broadcast the former and hasn’t ever shown the latter. Very telling indeed.
