It's actually the CART champ car series and not indy car.

God I wish we could have those days back. Who could have ever thought out would actually go downhill from there?

My dad worked for Patrick Racing that season and kept this after the team folded. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of memorabilia

If memory serves It was the 22nd of june 1997. I watched the end of the RACE at the hospital's room where my son was just born.

I remember staying up to watch the end of that race here in the UK. Can't believe that was nearly 30 years ago!

Back when Indy cars looked like cool, open wheel race cars, unlike the spec series Dallara of today. Is it a single seater? Is it a sports car with a cabin? Who knows.
