The mayor has shown up to Little Saigon in person maybe a few times for public events like the street festival this past weekend. But no one has ever seen him walk the drug dens along King St. or meet with worried Asian American business owners on 12th Ave & Jackson St. So I asked him why it's been so challenging to clear the drug activity on these two city blocks and contain the problems in this neighborhood. This Risacher fall is similar to what we saw with Russ pushing Ajay Mitchell after he was in the air. Gillespie got his pass stolen, which can be embarrassing, and it can lead to players wanting to "get the guy back" and not realize how dangerous even a slight push to an airborne player, or a player on one leg moving up into the air, can be. It was also fascinating to hear how each team's announcers analyzed the play, with the Hawks guys recognizing the danger of the slight push while the Suns focus on Risacher hanging on the rim at full speed (they clearly are concerned and feel terrible about the fall). Let's be clear: players cannot be pushing guys like this, even slightly. The offensive player has the advantage, there was NO chance for Gillespie/Russ to prevent the shot, and the risk for severe injury is too great. This doesn't happen hardly at all, but we should never see it happen at any level of basketball, which is why I feel plays like this could merit a penalty after the fact, like a one game suspension.

This is a statement from the zookeepers at the Ichikawa City Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Fabruary 20. We have confirmed that several videos have gone viral on the internet. When Punch approached another baby monkey from the troop in attempt to communicate, the baby monkey avoided him. Punch then sat down, apparently giving up on communicating with the monkey, after which he was scolded and dragged by an adult monkey. The adult monkey that dragged Punch is probably the mother of the monkey with whom Punch tried to communicate. She probably felt that her baby was annoyed by Punch and got upset, expressing "don't be mean." Punch has been scolded by other monkeys many times in the past and has learned how to socialize with them. In the video, Punch runs to his stuffed orangutan toy after being dragged. However, as usual, he left the stuffed toy after a short while and was communicating with other monkeys. The video was probably recorded on the morning of February 19. During feeding time at 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., Punch acted no differently than on any other day.
