This is exactly their fear. "The case should have never been brought to trial...This cannot be the new norm for the United States of America..." I keep telling everyone but they don't want to hear it. The rich and powerful are quaking in their boots that they can be held accountable by law. The elite have enjoyed the protection that comes with status, and getting away with things that should be criminal. Listen to what they're saying. "This cannot be the new norm for the United States" - who's norm? For the rest of us we go to prison. That's been the norm for us. Has it been the norm for them? What else do they say? Right "if it can happen to him, it can happen to everyone" - who's everyone? Not us? Because again, if we do it, we go to prison. You heard them with the Manhattan fraud case. "Everyone does it" - everyone who? Not us! We go to jail. The new norm "they" are afraid of, is one where the rich and powerful are jubject to the same laws and the same treatment as everyone else. They think they're better than us and are owed fealty from us. That's why things like receiving debt forgiveness, healthcare, and social security are entitlements when we get it, but oh, it's the right thing for the country when they get it. Like, forget party for a moment and listen to what they're saying. Falsifying business records is a crime - but it shouldn't have been brougt to trial?
