This means that a $500k loan would pay the following per month if the 30 year rate is 6.5%: 30 Year Loan at 6.5% = $3,160/month 50 Year Loan at 7.5% = $3,201/month So it would be higher monthly payments and you'd pay more than twice the total interest.
