The Supreme Court of Canada today has decided to ALLOW CFIA to kill hundreds of healthy ostriches that do not have "bird flu." The Supreme Court of Canada has allowed CFIA to NOT even have to TEST the HEALTHY animals for bird flu...even though that's why CFIA says they are killing them. Canada has become a disgrace.

A detailed list of birds was given to the Vets, however the UoF has been prevented from tending to the animals leading to the death of 35 year old Spirit. The BC Ostrich Farm had an unwelcomed hay delivery from two semi trucks this evening. Both trucks covered up their plates and DOT numbers. Police then threatened those recording the trucks. It is disturbing that the CFIA is proceeding full speed ahead on the cull perpetration despite the Supreme Court of Canada granting a stay while they decided whether or not to give leave. The CFIA is going out of their way to make sure the ridiculous hay wall structure they're building completely blocks everyone from seeing what's going to take place inside. The CFIA made sure to cover up the farm's pen cameras once they arrived. Canadians have since donated surveillance equipment, including a scissor lift and surveillance tower, to allow the farm owners and the public to see what's happening. And so the government had to make sure no one can see. The government has even gone so far as to order a no fly zone so people can't film anything using drones. I believe the government rightfully thinks the eyes of the world couldn't stomach this. It would bring justified questions and condemnation against the agency and their unscientific pursuit of these ostriches. It is a justified ding to their moral authority, and so they must do everything possible to avert and block eyes. Our rights need to matter in this country or else nothing else does. These birds haven't been tested in almost 300 days and they appear perfectly healthy. The CFIA refuses to test them and have threatened enormous fines for anyone who would try testing them. The CFIA, with the help of the RCMP, seized the Universal Ostrich Farm last week and they were getting ready to cull the flock before the Supreme Court of Canada granted a stay. But they're still preparing anyways. It is morally and logically wrong for the CFIA to approach the Universal Ostrich Farm like this and it is wrong for the RCMP to help them do it. The family has been asking for a headcount for some time in CFIA have been refusing. Sgt. Mike Rude (retired) has been spending some time in the mountains and has gathered evidence that appears to show the number of ostriches here is far lower than it should be. Mike and Katie attempted to deliver this evidence, with the sworn testimony from Mike, to the RCMP. Katie was ignored, told someone would call her and about an hour later we got word that someone would meet with Katie and Mike tomorrow morning at 0800. More to come.

Dave came to the police line with the farm vet with a bag of electrolytes to give the bird. The RCMP were told by cfia not to let them in. Since the farm vet is retired, she's been denied access by cfia. All right be there. I'm about to let you back. Unacceptable to say the least. Especially when cfia claims they gave the bird electrolytes but nobody can verify it because they're hiding from everybody.

CFIA overreach accelerates as neighbour's property seized, threatened with arrest The CFIA has expanded its seizure of land to a family independent of Universal Ostrich Farms, restricting the owners from their own home and garden. In the latest twist of the Universal Ostrich Farms vs. Canadian Food Inspection Agency standoff, Rebel News is exposing how the CFIA’s overreach has expanded beyond the farmers and their avian-flu immune ostriches, and onto the property of their neighbours. While on site, we spoke with Alyson Turnbull, niece of ostrich farm co-owner Karen Espersen and cousin to farm spokesperson, Katie Pasitney. Turnbull explained her immediate families' shock and horror to come home to much of her mother’s land being seized for the CFIA cull mission while they were away from the home. The property, which borders the farmers' property, was never deemed a “dangerous zone” until this past September, just before the CFIA was granted a “warrant to search” under the Health of Animals Act, section 34. Despite not being involved in the ostrich farm operation, the family has been treated like criminals; RCMP remain stationed at their property around the clock while the Supreme Court deliberates whether the CFIA’s cull order can proceed. When Alyson tried to get answers as to why they were being restricted and told they can’t even harvest their own garlic, an RCMP officer told her that the CFIA “has control of your property” and that they were being “gracious enough” to allow them to access to the house only. She was later warned via text by a liaison officer to remember, that according to CFIA, Alyson could not go into her mom’s “property without first emailing them” and cautioned that the CFIA could order her arrest if she did not comply. The overreach mirrors the same heavy-handed approach that Alyson’s aunt and cousin, Karen and Katie, faced when being arrested shortly after the CFIA descended to their properties, because the ostrich farmers insisted on humanely caring for their birds until the CFIA was lawfully able to cull them. A list of “Judgements to be rendered on leave applications” for this week do not list the “UoF vs CFIA” case, which means the cull will likely remain paused this week.
