the CFP effectively just told us that teams that are not playing this week cannot be adjusted. no. 11 alabama, at 9-3, walks into the college football playoff over BYU, arizona state & iowa state. this system is already broken. do away with conference championship games.

Why can't we let the teams decide? Each conference does their own playoff, top 2 teams automatically get in, seeding depends on who wins conf championship game. Gotta get as close to NFL model as possible and remove the human element to deciding who gets in. Tonight was a joke

I agree. Remove the conference championship game. Bring the top 2 conference leaders…. That is 8 teams. You then have either BOISE or NOTRE DAME but not both and then a committee can choose 3 teams, instead of having them chose 8. Just a thought. These guys are idiots.
