The CFP model the SEC is (reportedly) pushing would be terrible for CFB and would neuter the regular season

The AQ model the Big Ten is pushing (if 14 instead of 16) would actually expand the field but place MORE urgency on the regular season than the current 12-team format does

Top 16, BCS model.

no

SEC trying to ruin the sport in order to line their own pockets? Color me surprised!

Why can't we just play the regular season, then some bowls, and the computers pick the national champion using unexplainable algorithms?

4 conference champs + best G5. Those should be the only automatic qualifiers. You have to earn the playoffs. This should be exclusive not inclusive.

The AQ format makes teams earn their spots WHILE placing urgency on regular season games. 5+11 does virtually none of that.

i miss the BCS

I'm hoping logic and even common sense rules out.

Take me back to the good old days of the BCS where making it to the Rose Bowl felt incredible
