The SEC basically has 3 guaranteed spots and that’s not enough for them as evident by the temper tantrum being thrown by Stanley , Saban ,Kiffin , South Carolina and everyone else threatening to stop playing OOC games.

Doesn't happen very often, but I disagree with Josh here. Why should a 10-2 Tennessee have to play Bama TWICE to get in? Already beat them. Let's move on.

There is no viable format that avoids the potential of rematches

One additional thing this does is green lights the SEC to play more (9+) conference games. The built in risk playing more conference games incurs no longer exists then and it is actually incentives playing additional conference games.

This is correct - forgot to add it. There is no more fear within the SEC of moving to 9 conference games.

I don’t have a better idea right now, but this seems terrible

Wouldn’t this reward teams that have an easy conference schedule? (Ex. Texas this year only playing ONE ranked team)

Let's give the SEC all the spots. Nobody else even matters. We will seed it off of Vegas odds and recruiting ranking. Playing games wont even matter anymore. Perfect!
