Except it seems to have half of the output tokens of Turbo. Not great for generating code.

Free users will have a limit on how much they can use GPT-4o, and at times of peak demand, will default back to GPT-3.5. Free users will also be limited in how they can use advanced tools, such as: Data analysis File Uploads Browse Discovering and using GPTs Vision

Don’t really agree !! It’s an added step - copy & paste !! And do you expect to copy past each file ? On the other hand VS Code with copilot is completely a different ball game !! It’s kind of flawless

The integration of ChatGPT into a desktop app with the ability to select and interpret code is indeed a significant development in the field of coding assistance. By leveraging the power of GPT-4o, the app can provide a powerful tool for developers, allowing them to quickly and accurately understand, modify, and debug code. The addition of audio and video capabilities further enhances the app's utility as a coding assistant, enabling developers to interact with the AI in a more natural and intuitive way. This can help bridge the gap between human and machine understanding of code, making the development process more efficient and enjoyable. However, it's worth noting that while the app can be a valuable teammate for developers, it cannot fully replace the expertise and creativity of human engineers. The app can assist with tasks such as code understanding, debugging, and even generating new code snippets, but it may not be able to fully replicate the deep understanding and problem-solving skills of experienced engineers. In conclusion, the ChatGPT desktop app with its coding assistance capabilities and audio/video features has the potential to significantly enhance the coding experience for developers. While it may not replace human engineers, it can certainly serve as a powerful and helpful tool in the development process.

I have been selecting code and getting GPT to take care of it for over a year. 4o dealing with multiple speakers? That's interesting because basic Whisper doesn't have diarization Also, the inference speed means that it's really easy to rig a conversational agent via the API?
