On July 6, 2026, the chief technical specialist of the Russian Experimental Design Bureau "Alfa" told TASS that the department has developed a fiber-optic-based analogue of the Molniya-type low-cost strike drone, with a claimed range of around 50 kilometers. It's possible that the same fiber-optic Molniya drone can be seen in the video below.
