The Cleveland Cavaliers utilizing Evan Mobley as an offensive hub from the high-post/elbow would be a great way to make use of his touches, especially with Peyton Watson in town now. Yes, it's going to require more off-ball movement from others but what better time than now?

I think Mobley attempting to lead the team in assists and Allen legitimately committing to the corner three are two schematic changes we need to pursue. Both can do it.

This and I’d love to see them getting back to him being the trailer in the fast break. It was something that worked so well Kenny’s first year.

They should have done this when they had DG. If they didn’t do it then, they won’t do it now. I also think Allen is capable and maybe even a better passer than Mobley, he would be cool to see there

Not as simple as that. It’s not all on Mobley. Cavs have never had the level of cutters they currently roster. Off-ball movement from the backcourt in particular has always been an issue as far as consistency.

I’m not blaming Mobley but having DG instead of harden would make that system work much better. I don’t think they’ll start now if they didn’t start then, it’s a Kenny thing.

DG is definitely more of an off-ball mover but i definitely think you can get to it more if you really take Don off ball more. Watson is easily the best cutter they’ve had too. Time will tell

Yes, I think so. He was within the 87th percentile in Cuts per 75 possessions this past season. Max (never higher 59th percentile) moves extremely well. I think Watson is the better cutter though.

I think his cuts will drop that was just their system. Quantity ≠ quality. Not saying he’s bad either btw he’s a phenomenal cutter

It could but I think the players themselves have more to do with that than the system. for instance Allen was 100th percentile there and Tomlin was 83rd. I think Watson will be around the 80-90th.

Its personnel. This works when the floor is spaced. In that full 2:05 of clips - 20-25 plays - allen is on the floor for 1 of them. If you want mobley to take the next offensive step you need to give him room to operate.

Sort of. Don’t let this small amount of clips fool you. Spacing is definitely a large part of it but there are many more in which Allen was hit in stride by Mobley around the rim. Big to big passing.

Merill and Watson can move offball well. Just need the rest of them to step up
