It's not a paradox. It's literally the good explanation on how limits work in mathematics.

"Trust me it’s 8 inches as long as the ruler is small enough"

This concept is the reason why our lungs have so much surface area.

Reality grows longer the closer you look. Infinity is not somewhere else. It is in the details.

This is true but to a point. For example an infinite summation turns into a finite value. The value growing just means it hasn’t converged yet

So conceivably the coast line could be as long as you wanted it to be and any answer is correct

And this is why we teach calculus. This is a summation question. You can approximate the shape of the island as 2 formulas and then run an integration between those 2 curves. The more accurate your formula the better the estimate will be.

And this is what we call Integration!

This is not a paradox, it's just maths

But then measuring too many details will not be accurate anymore

Not sure how that is considered a paradox. Makes complete and total sense.

You should check the meaning of paradox. This is not one.

Don't the waves make it difficult to measure with a ruler?

There is nothing paradoxical, here it is just basic physics/math... Very simple and understandable... not explanation required. Which idiot named it a Paradox?

The closest geometric shape to a rounded island is a circle so the total coast line should not exceed the circumference of a circle C=2πR (where R is from the center to the furthest point)

Well, you know a lot about distances. Now all you've got to do is find out what the word "paradox" means.
