Star colors reveal their core temperatures and life stages - a discovery by Annie Jump Cannon in 1901. Blue giants burn at 30,000K while red dwarfs simmer at 3,000K. The same physics that makes metal glow from red to blue-white in a forge applies across the cosmos.

My single Stargazing just landed!

curious, green is not in the spectrum

Total nonsense.

Ok that's really cool

Do you know the color of Spica?

Why purple was just added to No Mans Sky. Awesome! 😁

♥️♥️♥️

Are these the colors seen from Earth as affected by Doppler shift of the source frequencies OR Has the Doppler shift been corrected for to yield the best guess of the sources' real color? Thx in Advance

In geometry parallax is obscured as reality for all things excepts in the case of astronomy. If earth is moving through space there should be an observed effect of the near bodies of moon and planets moving much faster than further distances of stars yet that’s not what’s seen
