The unintended comedic timing of this is incredible. The name of a deep canon Star Wars character followed by the reveal that it’s actually just “Ashley Brown.”

Jedi Master Mi-Shilu Eobri

Shouldn’t the phonetic spelling be how the name is pronounced?

This is what you get when you select your announcer based on DEI box checking rather than selecting the best person for the job.

Ok, so isn't there a need to have a college graduate who speaks English as their primary language do the announcement of names of those who worked hard and spent so much money there over 4 years????

This DEI hire is teaching these students. Yikes

Who is this person who can't pronounce basic names?? If they're an instructor, they need to be fired and her students need a refund for whatever she "taught". How can this happen? It may be funny to some but it's sad to see allowed coming from a school admin/teacher.

That is a cop-out according to one graduate who said the actual name for each graduate was right above the phonetic spelling, so there are no excuses

How totally disrespectful. And racist, too.

Pretty sure the value of the degrees from Thomas Jefferson just plummeted.
