The Controversy over "Christ is King"

There is no controversy. ”Christ is King” is a fundamental Christian belief and tradition saying it picks you out as a devout Christian. Therefore. Political extremists use it sometimes as a tool to justify their actions as ”Christian“ because they know what group the saying correlates to.

Christ is King no matter what anyone says, we will all know that sooner or later

I wonder (((who))) funded this.

Death swallowed Christ and He is risen! There is no study, or psyop, or malicious intention, or beast, or pharisee that will have the name of the King of kings in their mouth and separate it from Heaven and the Trinity. Except for the ever-virgin, nothing can contain the Word.

Critics of the phrase actually do make National claims ~ America is liberal & secular & race-less & you’re un-American if you disagree. The phrase is used in this context to say no, there’s a supreme Authority under which all Nations have actual real identity & that justifies our desire to act politically as tho that’s the case

This is the correct and balanced take. All groups, by definition, include and exclude. It’s hypocritical for groups that practice exclusion to complain when others do the same. They shouldn’t have targeted the phrase itself, but rather the individuals they accuse of abusing it.

Listen to "The Kingdom" on Youtube

If “Christ is King” is anti- Semitic than “God Bless America” is xenophobic. Just because an anti-Semite claims Christ as King does not mean the idea is anti-Semitic. Just as a xenophobic person says God Bless America, does not make the statement itself inherently bad.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. The entire thing was unnecessary and did more to sow division than anyone saying “Christ is King!” I’m familiar with one of the Christians being targeted by this, and the funny thing is he’s been speaking out about subsidiarity long before ARC materialized. While “Christian Nationalism” sounds scary because modern, neoliberal people can only ascribe negative value to nationalism, what he’s actually speaking about is not depending on things like the government to help Christian’s, and to adapt for what will be worsening so that we aren’t swept along whichever twisted way our governments choose to move.
