While brain dead, singer and songwriter Pam Reynolds experienced one of the world’s most famous unexplained near-death experiences. Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.

Her parents went to an open house an hour from her home and she happened to go along with them. In the dining room was a rabbit in a cage in horrible conditions. It was sitting in its own 💩 and was filthy. When they left, she cried and had to go back for it. Coincidentally, her friend runs a rabbit rescue!
