Truck was clearly moving with traffic. Cop was almost completely stopped. Hope this driver sued & won.

I had a trooper fly up behind me @ 4am going to work on a clear highway and keep slowing down, speeding up, right behind me while I was in the middle lane. He then proceeded to use all 3 lanes to play his entrapment game. He lost that game. I kept cool and just stayed steady.

Theres more going on here. You can see a semi on the shoulder and when the cop gets hit, His vehicle pushes a cooler off to the side. That is probably why the cop stopped. They may have just passed another accident and there is debris in the road. The guy in the box truck has about 120 feet to stop, going by the lines on the road. The standard for the lines are 10 feet for the line, 30 separating them. Air brakes with that weight and most likely 65mph, he'd need about 400 or so feet to stop. So both of their actions could be seen as wrong.

Since you can not see more then 4 seconds before the truck hitting the cop car hard to say what happened if their was time to stop the truck or not before impact. Going by the what is here the officer was in the wrong and lucky not to be injuried

A well-trained cop on this side of the pond would've: - turned on the blue lights and the "follow me" sign - gradually slowed down and made sure the truck follows - moved over to the emergency lane Why are US cops so badly trained and even think they're above physics?
