Turning? No the corporate world has always been a prison. That's why so many old heads have that mentality that the younger generation is lazy because they were programmed to work their lived away without even missing a sick day.

In the US people truly live to work. In other parts of the world people work to live and that distinction is so important rise and grind is fun until it’s not.

You are so correct I decided that even if I don’t have anywhere to go I’m still taking time off. I’m currently on a staycation relaxing at home. 😂. People take your time off you’ve earned it.

We didn’t have holidays and guess what .. I still took them 🤷🏽‍♀️ bc i have PTO. I have unlimited time off - then one year they tried to tell us we only had 20 days lol i took 25 days bc you’re not going to tell me how to prioritize my mental health.

My job is constantly encouraging us to take our time off before the end of the fiscal year.

I had another former coworker from another company he passed away right before Thanksgiving last year…. I think it was from cardiac arrest…. But they did nothing for him either. But my coworkers personally bought out a huge card and put our names in it for his sister… ❤️

I asked my supervisor, 'can I please have the weekend off to go to a family BBQ?' She said, 'no.' I went to the BBQ anyways. Back to work, she called me to the office to have me sign some paper about subordination. I didn't sign my name, I signed, Daffy Duck. Lol!
