As soon as I heard the story I knew the scriptures he was gonna bring up. Amazing! Never heard of the crimson worm

Yesssss I am covering over my dear Lord blood I love Jesus Christ

As a Christian I do love to see and learn about these amazing things that show the wonder of God and his creation as well as parallels to Jesus. However just want to clarify some stuff about the crimson worm. So YES, the crimson worm (tola’at shani) is real. It’s a scale insect (Kermes vermilio and relatives) that lives on oak trees in the Middle East. Females attach to branches, swell with eggs, die after reproducing , and yield a bright red pigment historically used for crimson/scarlet dyes…exactly as referenced in the Bible for Tabernacle fabrics and rituals. The core biology and symbolism (sacrifice, blood covering sins) are solid. However, the detail that “the red stain turns white after three days” is an embellishment. Scientific descriptions show white waxy coatings on the insects, but there’s no process where the crimson body or stain dramatically turns white like snow in three days.

Like the Crimson Worm; the Dogwood tree… another reason, humanity is left without excuse. The Dogwood tree, was the wood of the Cross, Jesus was crucified on. The Dogwood tree was once the largest and strongest of forest trees, hence it was chosen as timber for the cross on which Jesus was crucified. • After the resurrection it is said, Jesus took pity on the dogwood’s sorrow at being used for this purpose. He decreed that henceforth the tree would remain slender and twisted, unable again to be used as an instrument of execution. • The blossoms of the dogwood-appearing in the shape of a cross with petals arranged in four sections-would bear nail-like markings at the tip of each petal, with a center often likened to a crown of thorns. Although not confirmed in Scripture, many find clarity in its imagery, seeing the dogwood blossom as a living allegory that draws attention to Calvary. In some, the petals bear stains of red, symbolizing the blood shed on the cross. Botanical Observations Dogwood blossoms exhibit four petal-like structures that form a cross-shaped pattern, which people have correlated with Jesus’ crucifixion: 1. Shape of the Bracts: When viewed closely, these bracts appear cross-like. 2. Central Cluster: The center-where the actual small flowers occur-can resemble a cluster akin to a “crown,” taking on a figurative reflection of the crown of thorns placed on Jesus. 3. Coloration: Several varieties of dogwood showcase pinkish, red-tipped, or variegated hues, prompting some to connect the color to Christ’s blood.
