The crowd sound difference between the local MSG broadcast and ESPN is so drastic

I was expecting to hear a comparison… kind of pointless just showing MSG….

@DavidDwork ESPN is a joke, TNT dumps on them in every facet of their broadcast

ESPN’s concern for whatever reason is the commentators first and foremost They will drown out any noise in favor of making sure the commentators come through clearly The idea that “the crowd sometimes gets loud and the commentators gets a tad drowned out” is unacceptable to them

Can’t stand listening to ESPN where they dull down the sound and turn it up at certain points. Let’s hear the crowd all the time. Yes it’s loud in Buffalo. The crowd shouldn’t be muted.

Same difference with Sportsnet versus ESPN when the Canucks were in the playoffs. ESPN buries the crowd noise.

That cause ESPN mutes it, so we can hear their dumbass announcers

ESPN hates the NHL. They cover more WWE than they cover hockey of any level.

ESPN does the same thing with football. Crowd noise is always muted for some reason

i love a good comparison post without anything to compare.

It almost feels like common knowledge now that ESPN deafens the crowd noise

@ianoland The fact that ESPN hasn't been able to figure out hockey NAT-sound since reacquiring the NHL is one of the great technological mysteries of our time.

Been saying for years ESPN is cheaping out on production.

I just love how each cheer is so drastically louder than the last. Someone put a video of a measurement device showing it hit like 111 on the empty net… the 3rd was soo much louder than that one. I’d love to see that number.

my son married a Buffalo gal, he was always a Sabres fan anyway. i feared for their children who are Bills/Sabres fans. wouldn't it be nice if this team went a long way?? for my grandsons...
