The new playoff format makes the regular season boring. How long have we known it's going to be Tampa vs Toronto. Also, what's the incentive as a leafs fan to watch the other divisions? You won't match up with them until at least the eastern conference final

Personally... Knowing my team's playoff opponent by January = watching/going to less regular season games. Not sure how that is good for business.

my fav team is the devils, we've been out of the playoffs for many years. I don't care who we play 1st round, but If it were up to me Id prefer the 1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5 structure. Reward teams for the 82 game grind, shit i'd even be in favor of a 1v16 and combine the conferences. 😂

Also a new point system ik neither Canucks or flames gonna make the playoffs but the flames having one more win then the blues and Canucks but 11 more points is kinda crazy

1v8 is the way to go

Only the TML fans want a change thinking the team might have a slightly better chance of getting through the first round by facing a supposedly weaker team. The remainder of Canada prefers this way for obvious reasons!

They should do whatever it takes to get the Leafs to the 2nd round. Maybe let the @MapleLeafs play with 6 skaters and 2 goalies?

I'm curious as to what fellow fans think about a league-wide 1-vs-16, 2-vs-15, etc. playoff format. I know travel and scheduling might be drawbacks, but you could have all kinds of playoff-race drama, crazy first-round match-ups, and divisional rivals in the Final!
