Beyond dangerous, i shudder when i see those tackles, id rather get my héad taken clean off with a high tackle than take a chop tackle. Career enders waiting to happen - need to bé outlawed ASAP That being said hes some set of balls to pull them off and they’re legal 🤷🏼‍♂️

That grand slam against France in 2012 he was absolutely insane. Like chopping trees

The understated part of this is he also ends up the opposition’s side of the ensuing ruck, which disrupts arriving players. Very clever and effective

Dan and Sam were a formidable flanker partnership.

Dan Lydiate was greatly underestimated as a player. A brilliant player. The back row of him, Falatau and Warburton was as good as it got. We quite rightly laud Hill, Back and Dallaglio but I reckon the Welsh trio was just as good and Dan Lydiate was the unsung hero.

Isn’t that simply what we call a… tackle?
