Different vfx team maybe. This can be explained in verse the same way IT’s Pennywise form has a slightly different design each cycle. We can see this from 1935-2016.

True. Notice how his hair is different in the show then in the movie. There are so many subtle details like that.

Exactly. In the 30’s it’s hard to tell because of the black & white but they played with the contrast on the outfit. From my understanding based off what Andy explained back during CH2 is that because it’s a shapeshifter it can make some alterations based on the time period.

Now it’s possible to see that those markings in his head going to the eyes are actually his lips

Pennywise’s downfall is his overconfidence. He could kill these kids any time but the thought of them being more scared=tastier drives him. He maximizes fear until too late, these kids band together unified & that fear is turned anger. Now they are the ones using power of belief.

In this version of IT the Deadlights make you float, your mind just shuts down & you’re in a catatonic state. In the book you could go insane from looking into them or just straight up die. What’s always the same though is that the human mind can’t comprehend IT’s true form.
